In the spirit of Bayanihan and the fulfillment of the TESDA Abot Lahat slogan of the agency, more than 500 families in Brgy. Balibago, Cardona, Rizal, affected by the onslaught of the Severe Tropical Storm “Paeng” were assisted by TESDA Rizal Provincial Office and its attached TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs) through its disaster relief operations and conduct of technical support last November 12, 2022.
Aside from the relief operations, the provincial training centers converged to deliver short-term community-based livelihood and skills training programs. PTC Taytay offered free skills training in Candle Making while the PTC Binangonan demonstrated Rug Making, and PTC Cainta exhibited food processing on Spanish-Style Bangus Sardines Making.
It was also discussed with the local chiefs during the visit to the community that TESDA Rizal shall conduct skills training intervention to convert the issue of the abundance of waterlilies to profitable ventures for the community members.
