During the month of March, TESDA RPTESDC-Cainta was actively engaged in various events and initiatives to celebrate Women's Month and promote gender equality. The organization's commitment to supporting women in the community was evident through its participation in a range of activities aimed at empowering women and fostering a more inclusive society.
One of the highlights of TESDA RPTESDC-Cainta's Women's Month celebration was its participation in the Women's Month Kick-Off events on March 1, 2024. The organization joined other groups and individuals in a lively Zumba Dance session at the Cainta Municipal Ground, showcasing its enthusiasm for celebrating women's achievements and contributions. Additionally, TESDA RPTESDC-Cainta staff participated in the "Hakbang para sa Kababaihan" Women's Parade, emphasizing the importance of women's rights and gender equality.
Another significant event was the "Serbisyong Pangkalusugan Para sa Kababaihan" Medical Mission on March 3, 2024. TESDA RPTESDC-Cainta, in collaboration with the Cainta Municipal Health Office and the Rotary Club of Cainta, provided complimentary health services to women at the GSO Lounge Bldg. This initiative aimed to improve women's access to healthcare services and promote their overall well-being.
Furthermore, TESDA RPTESDC-Cainta organized a series of empowerment activities, including a Self-Defense Krav Martial Arts Basic Session on March 4, 2024, to equip women with essential self-defense skills. Additionally, a training session in soap-making was conducted at the Cainta Livelihood Center, in collaboration with the Cainta Municipal Livelihood Center and TESDA Trainer Elvira A. Dalofin, providing women with valuable skills for economic empowerment.
On March 8, 2024, TESDA RPTESDC-Cainta organized a Women's Month Celebration Program at Duavit Hall. The event featured various activities, including a Zumba session, a sharing session on Gender and Development (GAD) by Mitzi P. Barreda, and discussions on topics such as "GAD Legal Mandate" by Ms. Sonia Victoria D. Gongora and Organic Oil Training and Basic Hand Reflexology by Ms. Joymae A. Kaquilala. The program concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Jessie D. Recto, highlighting the organization's commitment to promoting women's empowerment and gender equality.
